We've seen the doctors, they've done a bunch of tests and still no news. We're waiting for the cultures to grow to determine if he has another bacteria infection. They've swabbed his mouth sores to see if they are something that can be treated. He's still tired but also bored and crabby. Eating and drinking continue to be a challenge and he has lost 4 pounds total.
FYI - for you number followers: WBC - .1; RBC - 9.9; Platelets 2100. Not great, but he doesn't need any transfusions at this time.

ReplyDeleteWe appreciate your taking the time to keep us updated! It sounds like you and the medical team are certainly keeping on top of it all with testing and adjusting treatment to meet the needs of the moment. We know Logan is so lucky to have one or both of you available to be with him as he courageously meets each day! We continue to send your family prayers and positive thoughts daily!
ReplyDeleteSherry and family
Actually not that great for the Platelets... They were 4600 yesterday when we were admitted... they’re dropping like a rock : (.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear he's back in the hospital. Maybe you'll have some answers soon and his blood counts will stabilize. We all send our love and continued prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh, FYI, Brandon, Li and William arrive in LA in about 3 hours...finally!
Cool Karen! Are they here to stay or just visiting?
ReplyDeleteStaying!!!
ReplyDeleteHi.
ReplyDeleteAmanda had a great time playing with her cousins at Summit Waves today. I think her favorite was the slide, or maybe it was the Rice Crispy Treats. She's so sweet. At breakfast this morning she told the three of us that we were "the best". Awe.
I can only imagine how hard this has been for the two of you. It's great that each of you has a wonderful spouse to lean on. Stay strong.
Been thinking about you guys today. Awaiting some good news tomorrow from the doctors! I think Logan looks very handsome with his head shaved! :)
ReplyDeleteHope things get better for him soon so he can come back home! If you need anything let me know! I'd be happy to swing by the hospital. Lunch or dinner....a break or a snack.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. The most stressful part is not knowing what's wrong with the big guy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a toughie! Hope you have answers soon!
